Project Manager Overview:

We are seeking an experienced The Project Manager will lead project management activities ensuring the overall success of medium/large projects. Will include analyzing customer (primarily internal) requirements, objectives and methodology optimizing processes. This position is responsible for coordinating with cross functional partners in the development and execution of project timelines, implementing process improvement, risk management and problem resolution. This position will function as the single point of contact for all projects related to the area to which they are assigned.

Job Functions:

Manage scope to including establishing agreed upon outcomes, roles and responsibilities. Adhere to contracts, SOWs, or Vendor guidelines.

Build, update and maintain project artifacts, schedules, and integrated plans including specific results, timelines, tasks, dependencies and resource assignments.

Setup and implement processes, systems, tools and organizational resources to initiate, plan, control, implement and close projects associated with the assigned area

Coordinate and schedule concerned resources, both internal as well as external.

Drive one or multiple projects to completion in parallel within time and budget.

Ensure that all projects are traceable to objectives and are within the capacity of the organization

Proactively identify gaps in internal plans and external expectations and leading customer expectations regarding risks and issues mitigation.

Develop communication plans to disseminate project status, information, and expectations to internal and external customer resources and partners. Build and maintain agreed upon reporting mechanisms that show the overall health of the project(s) and clearly show critical risks, issues, action items, and decisions.

Education:

High School Diploma or Global equivalent required. Undergraduate degree from an accredited university/college desired. An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree. PMP Certification preferred.

Experience Guidelines – Required

Shown experience in a project management role or leading small/medium projects.

5 to 8 years' experience project management experience or software projects/services desired. Healthcare industry experience preferred

Behavioral Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written and verbal communication skills

Solid track record of effectively communicating verbally and in writing

Problem Solving with minimal guidance and support

Technical Proficiencies

Proficiency with Project Management Tools and MS Office

Strong problem solving skills

PMI membership and background in project management processes and methodologies preferred

Preferred Exposure to SW Development and Engineering Activities

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $75,000 to $133,000 annually depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
