Job Description: Shift Leader ($22 plus tips)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to lead our high-volume Vietnamese specialty coffee shop located in Seattle. As the Shift Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer experiences, managing daily operations, and fostering a positive work environment for our team. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the shop's high standards and driving its growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

• Responsible for managing the day-to-day store operations, maintaining high store standards and conditions, and fostering a positive environment, which provides consistent, fast, efficient, and friendly service ensuring a Quality Experience for both, our customers and team members.
• Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization throughout the store, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Continuously monitor and improve operational efficiency, identifying areas for optimization and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Ensures that the store has sufficient product, merchandise, and supplies needed to manage an efficient store throughout the day.

2. Team Leadership:

• Identifies staffing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training needs of qualified candidates
• Facilitates on-going training and development of current staff
• Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, providing regular feedback, and resolving any conflicts or performance issues.
• Ensures proper team member coverage, scheduling according to the needs of business while maintaining target labor costs
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and opportunities for growth and development.

3. Customer Service:

- Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer has a memorable experience.

- Ensures that all team members provide customers with efficient and friendly, superior service on a consistent basis

- Build strong relationships with customers, taking the initiative to understand their preferences and exceed their expectations.

- Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and effectively, maintaining the shop's reputation for exceptional service.

Requirements:

- Previous management experience in a high-volume coffee shop or specialty food establishment is required.

- In-depth knowledge and appreciation of specialty coffee and its cultural significance.

- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

- Strong customer service orientation, with a passion for creating exceptional experiences.

- Proven track record in driving sales growth and achieving financial targets.

- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage operational demands effectively.

- Proficient in inventory management, POS systems, and other relevant software applications.

- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays, as per business needs.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
