Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to patients across the lifespan, from infants to older adults
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
- Provide occupational health services, including pre-employment physicals and screenings
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of {location}
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in performing IV infusions and phlebotomy procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and clinic priorities
Skills:
- Toddler care: Experience in providing healthcare services to toddlers, including immunizations, growth monitoring, and developmental screenings.
- Medical records: Proficient in maintaining accurate and organized medical records, including documenting patient assessments, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
- Occupational health: Knowledge of occupational health practices, including conducting pre-employment physicals, drug screenings, and managing work-related injuries.
- Medical documentation: Ability to accurately document patient information, including vital signs, symptoms, treatment plans, medication administration, and progress notes.
- Patient care: Skilled in providing comprehensive patient care across various settings, including assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and monitoring patient progress.
- Phlebotomize: Proficient in performing venipuncture and collecting blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Anatomy knowledge: Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology, including organ systems, body structures, and their functions.
- IV infusion: Experience in administering intravenous medications and fluids, monitoring IV sites, and managing potential complications.
- Home care: Knowledge of providing healthcare services in a home care setting, including wound care, medication management, and patient education.
