Job Summary/Objective: At Coastal Regenerative Orthopedics we are looking for a Medical Assistant to add to our clinic that shows initiative in his/ her job and has a fun personality to add to the office flow. This position is primarily a front desk role but will have tasks that still allow space for clinical practice (phlebotomy, injections, and patient care)
We are primarily a Regenerative Orthopedics office offering non-surgical injections of patient's own growth factors (PRP) or Bone Marrow Concentrate (stem cells) to heal Otho injuries like arthritis, tears, ACL injuries, carpal tunnel , spine injuries, etc...
Coastal also offers a variety of wellness services that include a full -time Aesthetics clinic : Botox, fillers, microneedling, laser hair removal, and weight loss injections to aid patients in feeling their best selves.
1.Administrative Duties:
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing the appointment calendar.
- Maintaining patient medical records and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Answering phones, triaging calls, and directing inquiries to appropriate personnel.
- Managing inventory of medical and office supplies and ordering as needed.
2. Clinical Duties
- Assisting healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Taking patient medical histories and vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration).
- Preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
- Assisting providers in their procedures and injections
- Administering medications under the direction of a physician.
- Sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.
- Providing patient education and instruction on treatment plans and medication usage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Work Environment:
- Medical office (Professional but fun loving with incredible patient -clinic relationships)
- May require standing for long periods and lifting or moving patients or equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
