Coast Dental and Orthodontics is Hiring a District Manager - Orlando Near Orlando, FL

Overview

The Floater District Manager is responsible for ensuring policies, procedures and operating standards are applied consistently across practices. The Floater District Manager will work as a liaison between the corporate headquarters and the field practice teams. Specifically, this role is responsible for training personnel on defined standards, company orientation, safety and compliance. The Floater District Manager will analyze production data to plan metrics, take appropriate action regarding training and operational standards for teams to meet and succeed established business plan goals. The Floater District Manager will be primarily based in Central Florida but must be available to travel to various locations in Florida and Georgia at short notice to support and oversee Coast practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Audit, analyze revenue targets, operational processes and expense controls for all assigned practices in territory.Review daily production schedule with Business Managers, Sr. Office Managers and Office Managers to assist with appropriate staffing levels and expense controls.Develop, train and direct team members utilizing sound operating principles and company policies and procedures.Apply the company employee relations policies in dealing with employees.Determine causes of low performance from available data and reports and take appropriate action to determine and execute a course of action.Study operations where cost standards are not met to problem solve and correct in concert with Practice Managers and Region President/RVP.Coach and develop teamwork in the practices to attain regional objectives.Ensure good housekeeping at the practice level.Ensure or conduct month-end physical inventory of raw materials, supplies and finished goods.Conduct or ensure completion of safety audits in assigned practices.Additional projects and/or responsibilities, as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Must exercise diplomacy, discretion, sound judgment, leadership and flexibility in varying situations, and must maintain confidentiality.Ability to conduct oral and written presentations.Ability to multi-task effectively.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organization and time management skills required.Self-paced initiative with the ability to prioritize daily/weekly/monthly schedule.Strong problem resolution skills.Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks and responsibilities.Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems software including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to travel within Florida and Georgia.

Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)

A minimum of seven years (7) years of dental management experience in a fast-paced environment or a minimum of five years (5) of experience in a lead clinical dental position and four years (4) of management experience.Four-year degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience.Demonstrated clinical knowledge with the ability to successfully lead productive teams to reach assigned goals.Experience with coaching and training multi-unit/multi-practice supervisory experience utilizing various methods.Strong ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team.Clean driving record, valid Florida driver’s license, with reliable transportation.Ability to work flexible hours including early morning and evening hours with some weekends required.

Working Conditions

The District Manager works independently and, on the road, a good deal of the time. Field office visits make up a good portion of the job role.
