Coast Construction Group, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager Near Anaheim, CA

Coast Construction Group is a growing General Contractor headquartered in downtown Arlington, WA. We also have an office in Lancaster, California. We are a design-build contractor specializing in logistics, warehousing, and commercial projects. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters and can work independently in a work environment whether in the office or on site. This position deals directly with prospective clients, current clients, and the project team. You will travel to job sites and client offices as needed, as well as potentially other projects, duties, meet deadlines and always professionally represent our company.

Hiring for a local and/or traveling position in Washington, California, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Minnesota and perhaps other states within the US.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will be comfortable maintaining involvement in growth and sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers. Preparing estimates utilizing methods such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs, equipment costs, subcontractor bids, and applying to complete scope of work. Defining and quantifying scope of work and preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects. Reviewing and researching historical data and compiling summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimators.
REQUIRED CRITERIA/EXPERIENCE
5-7 years min. of experience with management and estimating for a general contractor.
A strong understanding of the Washington, California, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Minnesota and or any other states construction market, including current market prices and clients (e.g. engineers, architects, property managers and owners.) Exceptional math and computer skills including Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis in Excel and Project, Sage software is a plus, LEED certified is a plus. Experience managing client relationships and performing light business development duties. BA or BS Degree in Business, Engineering or preferably in Construction Management with five (5) years previous experience in a construction management environment OR ten (10) years work experience in an Estimating/PM role.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Solid background in construction, bidding and estimating. Proven track record of problem-solving issues. Professional appearance and attitude, possessing strong verbal and written communication skills to represent Coast Construction Group in a positive and professional manner. Thorough knowledge of Project Management coordination and scheduling. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately. Proficient at reading, writing, and comprehending contractual legal documents and/or draft addendums. PC literate for correspondence spread sheet tracking and project management coordination, including basic skills with MS Office. MS Project a plus. Demonstrates established and consistent methods of multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail.
