Summary: Completes a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patient and staff; provides assistance to the physician and appropriate medical staff by performing the following duties.

Required Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Places patients in rooms, identifies patient, assists with taking and recording vital signs, records patient history, medications, and any changes. Ensures all testing and consenting is up to date.

1. Performs phlebotomy successfully. 

1. Collects and labels specimen as outlined in lab orders/requisitions. 

1. Transports specimens to the lab promptly for testing. 

1. Cleans, stocks, and maintains all exam rooms.

1. Assists with patient medication instructions, helping patient get the proper medications ordered from the pharmacy.

1. Provide medication instructions as needed.

1. Provide education to client as needed regarding medications, procedures, and fertility treatments. 

1. Thoroughly complete documentation in patient medical record. 

1. If unable to assist client with their needs, please direct call to another team member, team lead, or manager.

1. Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training.
