CNO Financial Group’s IT business unit is hiring an IT Process Improvement Consultant-Financials to be accountable for financial stewardship as process improvement and growth efforts are driven across the IT organization. The candidate must understand the financial drivers of the CNO IT Organization and drive measurable improvement in IT processes while efficiently and effectively maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.

As an IT Process Improvement Consultant-Financials, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leverages process improvement standards to independently define and implement metrics and measurements to supervise and improve IT performance.
  • Act as point of contact between different departments within IT and relevant third parties to understand financial drivers and process constraints to establish/recommend improvement priorities.
  • Coordinate, implement, and govern IT financials and IT standards.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand gaps and improvement opportunities that accelerate realization of business objectives
  • Coach, consult, and mentor teams on delivery approaches and the use of techniques to deliver results.
  • Define IT scorecards for internal and external partners to provide relevant status of IT performance.
  • Present information (metrics, scorecards, improvement plans) for the purpose of communicating information, gaining feedback, and ensuring adherence to established processes.
  • Maintain efficiency and quality in the work setting.
  • Provide leadership and be a substantial contributor to IT performance.


The IT Process Improvement Consultant-Financials position
is well-suited for you if you:

  • Have experience in process improvement field, practices, and can show measurable successes
  • Have strong financial competence
  • Possess strong ability to define and establish metrics and methods for governing process adherence
  • Are diligent in detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as a consultative mentality, to solve complex problems
  • Complete customer facing experience and presentation skills with leadership, key stakeholders, and service providers
  • Can establish relationships at all levels within the enterprise with passion for being ‘one team’ throughout CNO


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or similar area or 8 years of meaningful experience
  • Solid grasp of corporate financials

What will set you apart:

  • Budget experience and explaining human capital themes
  • Experience working in scaled Agile environment

This role is full time work from home (WFH), also known as Remote. This role can be performed from any US based location within the central or eastern time zone. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

Associates who live within a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee) have access to come into that Office up to 2 days/week, and are encouraged to come into the office at least twice per month.
