CME's licensed engineers and certified technicians specialize in geotechnical engineering, construction materials evaluation in both field and laboratory, geological sciences, subsurface exploration, and investigative engineering.

Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant to the Technical Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities and Duties

Daily Schedule Management:

  • Maintain and organize the Technical Manager’s daily schedule, including meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with other team members to schedule and prioritize tasks.

Technical Proposal Assistance:

  • Collaborate with the Technical Manager to prepare technical proposals for clients.
  • Assist in gathering relevant information, formatting documents, and ensuring accuracy.

Work Sold Reports Preparation:

  • Compile and create work sold reports based on completed projects.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports to relevant stakeholders.

Meeting Notes and Presentation Materials:

  • Attend meetings and take detailed notes.
  • Assist in creating presentation materials for internal and external meetings.

Calendar Maintenance:

  • Manage the Technical Manager’s calendar, including tracking employee anniversary dates and performance review dates.
  • Coordinate with HR and other departments as needed.

Cross-Training and Coverage:

  • Cross-train in administrative functions within the testing and inspection group.
  • Provide coverage during staff absences to maintain seamless operations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with proposal preparation is highly desirable.
  • While experience in the construction industry is ideal, it is not essential.

Compensation: $25 / hour
