What The Role Entails 

The Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in the full employee life cycle from employee onboarding to separation for our full family of companies: CloudHQ, Dalian Development, WindHQ, and Cloud Capital. This individual reports to the HR Manager - Americas and serves as the first point of contact for all employees on incoming inquiries and requests related to HR administration. The HR Generalist collaborates with HR and Talent Acquisition team in optimizing the comprehensive HR function. 

What You will Get to Do 

  • Facilitates all employee actions including new hires, transfers, pay changes, status changes, and terminations, ensuring that all appropriate steps are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Responds to routine inquiries regarding HR matters including policies, benefits, payroll, paid time off.
  • Collaborates with HR and Payroll Managers on timely and accurate processing of payroll, as well as facilitation of regular audits.
  • Partners with external providers to facilitate resolutions for various issues including benefits coverage, leave management, payroll, and other matters.
  • Delivers timely and accurate processing of HR transactions and maintains internal customer contact until matters are resolved.
  • Educates and assists employees on company policies, practices, and tools to encourage efficiency in resolution.
  • Escalates complex matters to HR leadership if additional research or expertise is required.
  • Responsible for integrity of our HRIS (Paylocity) data in both direct entries and through periodic audits of changes.
  • Provides regular and ad hoc reports on HR information maintained in Paylocity and other systems.
  • Participates in compliance management with applicable HR laws as well as internal compliance audits that support company certifications or registrations related to HR.
  • Facilitates new hire onboarding including organization and delivery of new hire orientation. 
  • Facilitates company social impact initiatives including community outreach, diversity and inclusion. 
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition team to support shared initiatives including interview participation, campus recruiting, and serving as a back-up as needed. 
  • Collaborates with Office Administrator on employee health and safety matters, event planning, and employee morale initiatives.
  • Updates and maintains process documentation, FAQs, and other internal resources on the HR intranet and other platforms with the goal of creating efficiencies.
  • Participates in other HR initiatives and projects as needed.

Requirements

What You Bring to The Role

  • An Associate degree with a concentration in Human Resources
  • A minimum of three (3) years of professional Human Resources administration experience
  • High proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Working knowledge of HR laws including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, USERRA, ERISA, NLRA, ADAA, and more
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of ethics and professionalism
  • Impeccable ability to handle confidential information with professional discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an emphasis on focus on internal customer service
  • Proactive and flexible with the ability to take initiative where appropriate
  • Superior organization and time management skills with the ability to maintain progress against important deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Ability to use independent judgement and sound decision-making skills in situations that impact project timetables, direction, and outcome
  • Strong teaming skills; works well with internal and external team members and drives execution through collaboration and networking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Our Ideal Candidate Will Also Possess

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • A PHR or SHRM-CP Certification 
  • Paylocity experience
