Reporting to the Vice President of Nursing, the Perioperative Nurse Director will oversee a busy department with many moving parts. Supporting you in this responsibility will be a CNOR Operating Room Manager and a CPAN Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Supervisor, as well as the Sterile Processing Manager and 5 Surgical Services Charge RNs. In total, you’ll oversee nearly 100 talented FTEs who are experts in the various areas of patient care.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Surgical Services Leader with experience overseeing the clinical and administrative duties of a Nurse Manager. The Perioperative Services Nurse Director will oversee 9 busy inpatient operating-rooms, 2 same-day surgical suites, 2 GI Procedure Rooms, 22 Post Anesthesia bays, and a full cadre of nurses and support staff. Offering a diverse range of surgical procedures, from Neuro and Cardiac, to Total Joint and Podiatry, you’re expertise in efficient operating procedures and streamlined process improvement will surely come in handy.
The Perioperative Services Nurse Director will take a central role in leading the administration of the Surgical Services Department, as well as the clinical advancement of the unit. You’ll serve as a mentor to an amazing leadership team, supporting education initiatives and driving clinical performance in the units. The Director will also maintain the budget, support accreditation and compliance preparation, and lead the department’s staffing processes.
