Administrative responsibilities of the Nurse Director Critical Care include overseeing department operations across multiple units, scheduling, quality assurance, state and federal compliance, updating policy procedures, and managing the department budgets. Additionally, the Nurse Director Critical Care is a mentor and resource and assists with new hire and continuous staff educational programming and cross collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care is consistently delivered. Reporting to the ACNO, the Nurse Director Critical Care will be supported by a Nurse Manager, Assistant Managers, Educator, Registered Nurses, Technicians, and ancillary staff.
The Nurse Director Critical Care should have previous inpatient leadership experience with a background working in critical care. The Nurse Director Critical Care must also be a registered nurse.
