The Nurse Director Cardiac will work for a 300 bed acute care hospital located in the greater Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia region. This acute care hospital continues to expand daily, bringing on new leaders who are excited to spearhead new initiatives, and ultimately grow with the hospital. With new cutting edge medical technology and services offered, this facility is able to accommodate a wide array of specialized services throughout the community.
Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Cardiac include monitoring department budget, scheduling, hiring, firing, evaluations, and disciplinary action needed within the department, preparing for upcoming accreditation and surveys, ensuring regulatory compliance, updating policy and procedures, cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and acting as both a liaison and a mentor throughout the hospital. The Nurse Director Telemetry will oversee a 24-bed unit with a patient population primarily consisting of individuals who have undergone cardiac procedures, cardiac drips, cath lab & post cath lab patients, cardiac arrhythmias, open heart surgery patients, etc. This position reports to the ACNO, and oversees a team of 45 individuals including Nurse Managers, specialized nurses, and ancillary staff.
The hospital is actively seeking a Nurse Director Cardiac who has previous leadership experience along with a clinical background in Cardiac or Telemetry. This individual must be a Registered Nurse
