The Work

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize software applications using a broad understanding of software development.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert, providing solutions to a wide range of software-related issues.
• Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Lead complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align software solutions with the company's objectives.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for software development within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack development.
• Proficiency with C#/.Net, Blazor, Docker and Python.
• Experience with version control systems like Git within GitHub.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (a very strong preference to Azure).
• Experience building and architecting distributed systems, preferred.
• Experience with UX/UI design is a plus.
• Climate technology/weather experience, a plus.
• Familiarity with GIS products, a plus.
• Familiarity with PowerBI and Analytic solutions, a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to wear many hats. Start-up experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• This is a full-time, exempt position.
• Fully Remote from the United States
• This job requires frequent use of a computer to complete tasks, attend meetings, and communicate via Microsoft Teams.
