Description

We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Associate in our Accounting Department. We are seeking a dynamic person who can work both independently and in a team environment. The qualified candidate must be willing to participate in all levels of accounting functions and be able to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents.

This position is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of all accounts payable information within established company policies and procedures.

The essential duties of the Accounts Payable Associate position include, but are not limited to:

• Vouchering all vendor invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
• Processing timely vendor payments.
• Resolution of all reconciling items.
• Proper matching of invoicing, purchasing and receiving documents.
• Ensuring all invoices are properly approved.
• Timely and proper filing of documents.
• Maintaining complete and accurate vendor files.
• Ensuring AP policies and procedures are accurate and current. Create and revise policies and procedures as necessary.
• Assist in other accounting duties as assigned, such as month-end close duties, document retention, reconciliations, audit and tax schedule preparation, etc.

Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Associate include but are not limited to:

• Recent AP experience with Acumatica preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience with similar responsibilities.
• Ability to process a minimum of 500 invoices per week.
• Bachelor’s degree in business preferred, not required.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including spreadsheet creation, lookup formulas, pivot tables, graphs, etc.
• Demonstrated initiative and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, management and employees inside and outside of the department.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried non-exempt position (eligible for overtime). The salary range for this position is anticipated to be between $1,923.07 and $2,307.69 per bi-weekly payroll.
