Client: Energy Oil & Gas Company
Location: Houston, Texas (Energy Corridor on-site)
Type: Contract
Pay: $45-50/hour DOE
Summary:
- Work in close collaboration with multiple business units within commercial business services, business operations, and various commercial support groups.
- Perform research and business analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of current systems.
- Implement solutions in problem areas and facilitate configuration process improvement suggestions for smooth workflows.
- This position will be required to manage and complete daily business operational tasks in SAP, as well as support multiple business practices with small projects.
Duties:
- Performing daily tasks related to maintaining business Materials and Locations in SAP.
- Prepare daily and weekly status reports in Excel and PowerPoint summarizing data in spreadsheets with graphs and charts.
- Monitor group mailbox and workflow to complete requested configuration tasks.
- Identify error analysis and corrections related to accounting transactions entered in the system.
- Collaborate with business unit team leads to understand operational needs and translate the requirements into system solutions and configurations.
- Participating on process improvement teams.
- Extract key data and analyzing data (research, collection, analysis, error resolution).
- Document and perform regression and critical function testing.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in corporate business management with a Business Analyst support function.
- Experience with SAP leveraging strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project Management software application.
- Must leverage exceptional writing and PowerPoint presentation skills.
- Previous work experience within a corporate Energy, Oil & Gas company is a big plus!
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business, MIS, Supply Chain Management or related field
