As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, your primary focus will be on maintaining the Elastic platform's health and efficiency, alongside specializing in FinOps and cloud optimization for customer accounts. Your role encompasses working closely with internal teams to onboard data, create dashboards, and resolve Elastic agent issues. Additionally, you will engage with customers to identify and review opportunities for cloud optimization, analyzing usage patterns, and implementing cost-saving strategies. Your expertise in Elastic, cloud technologies, and financial operations will be vital in driving effective and optimized solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct and lead customer onboarding discussions.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Elastic Agents.
• Efficiently onboard data into Elastic, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
• Create and maintain dashboards for monitoring and visualizing data.
• Work on various automation projects related to testing, reporting, and data onboarding.
• Tracking and resolution of agent issues from large-scale to specific host problems.
• Provide support for escalated Elastic issues, contributing to effective problem resolution.
• Conduct in-depth reviews of cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with an emphasis on cost optimization best practices.
• Identify and detail cost savings opportunities across optimization phases: Eliminate Waste, Right Size, Schedule, Reserve Capacity.
• Prepare and deliver a slide deck with optimization findings, accompanied by a detailed spreadsheet and links to CloudHealth custom reports.
• Lead Optimization delivery calls with ClearDATA and customer teams, covering optimization methodology, savings opportunities, and a detailed review of findings with Q&A.
• General Support: Provide technical support to users within the Elastic domain, addressing their queries and concerns.
• Partner with key stakeholders to optimize customer experience & deepen understanding of customer pain points & business needs
• Perform other related duties.

What You Need:

• Minimum of 3 - 5 years progressive experience in system administration, engineering, and architecture in a AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments (Certifications - Preferred).
• Customer Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to interact effectively with customers.
• OS Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Scripting Experience: (Preferred) Knowledge in scripting languages like BASH, Python.
• Demonstrated autonomy while showing a high degree of organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work creatively and analytically in meeting customer needs. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including coaching and mentoring experience.
