Description

CNC Mill program operator is to be a well-versed programmer to ensure engineering/ customers blueprints are interpreted correctly. Ensure quality/ quantity meet Quality Assurance/ production requirements respectively. Comprehensive knowledge of CNC Mill set up/ tool changes. 

Requirements

• Program, set-up and operate Fadal CNC Milling machines and/or Mazak CNC mill
• Have experience programming in Mazatrol language or G&M codes at the machine control
• Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and practices
• Be able to work with little supervision
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and machine attachments
• Use precision measuring instruments
• Inspect completed parts for conformance to quality requirements
• Have strong blueprint reading skills. Basic knowledge of GD&T is helpful
• Have experience in short-run production
• Strong knowledge of machining principles, techniques, and practices
• Be able to hold close tolerances
• Have experience machining a variety of materials: tool steel, alloy steel, stainless steel
• Have strong math skills
• Load and unload machine with overhead crane
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
