City of York is Hiring a School Resource Officer Near York, SC

The City of York is accepting applications for the position of School Resource Officer. The School Resource Officer coordinates and performs community policing duties in the City’s public school system to create and maintain a safe, secure and orderly learning environment for students, teachers and staff in an effort to reduce crime and increase community awareness of crime prevention strategies and resources.

Minimum qualifications: High school graduate at least 21 years of age with the capability of completing required SC Criminal Justice Academy certification. Must be able to become SRO certified within one year. Preference is given to candidates already certified. Salary is based on experience, education, and certifications.
