The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full-time Management Analyst I in the Department of Strategic and Government Affairs.

Benefits At-A-Glance:
The Management Analyst (MA) program seeks to attract and retain entry-level individuals who have the desire to pursue future careers in local government management. Through the program, MAs will be encouraged to explore diverse experience opportunities that will enhance their understanding of municipal government operations. MAs will coordinate various types of projects and offer support to the Strategic and Government Affairs Department and the City Manager’s Office. MAs will also get various mentorship and professional development opportunities.
Through the duration of the program, MAs can be expected to serve on cross functional teams to conduct, analyze, summarize, and present policy, legal, operational, or technical research, and/or assist in the coordination of various citizen engagement programs. MAs are responsible for working on a variety of projects/assignments simultaneously and must be able to prioritize efficiently. These assignments will include innovative initiatives to propel the City of Sugar Land forward.
The program will employ selected individuals in this position for a two-year period contingent upon fulfilling all requirements expected of all City of Sugar Land employees. While the City does not guarantee a job at the end of the program, the incumbent may have the opportunity to continue employment should a position become available for which the employee is qualified and appointed through an open recruitment process. The City of Sugar Land strives to retain talented, highly successful employees through the MA program.
