The City of St. John located in St. Louis County, Missouri is accepting applications for a Building/Housing Inspector to work in the Public Works Department. The Building/Housing Inspector is responsible for all residential and commercial plan review and inspections during the various phases of construction, all occupancy inspections, as well as providing Staff support to the Planning & Zoning Board and representing Staff before the Board of Adjustment. The ideal candidate would have a background in the construction trades, a working knowledge of the plan review and inspection process, and strong organizational and administrative skills. Applicant must become ICC certified within 6 months of hiring date. The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $76,583 and excellent benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, 457(b) deferred compensation plan, LAGERS retirement plan, college tuition reimbursement, and access to employee owned fitness room.
