Position Information Classification Title Service / Maintenance Worker FLSA Non-Exempt FTE . Minimum Qualifications Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications One to two years of cleaning and grounds maintenance experience is preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Summary Performs manual work in the care of UGA Marine Extension buildings and facilities on Skidaway Island near Savannah, GA.
This includes minor maintenance work in the public aquarium, educational classrooms / labs, cafeteria, dormitory, shellfish research lab, and associated grounds.
Primary responsibility is for the effective use of proper methods and materials in maintaining and caring for indoor and outside student / public areas and seawater system.
Secondary work responsibility involves assigned facility related tasks. Individual works under immediate supervision of Facilities Manager within established routines and procedures.
Hours per week, Monday Friday typically, but vary with occasional weekend hours as required by residential and public facility schedules.
