JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under general supervision, this part time/seasonal position provides a safe crossing for school children going to and from school each day that school is in session.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to assist children across the street. Not have been convicted of a felony or crime involving moral turpitude. Must successfully pass a stress analysis test and physical.

• Work involves moderate physical effort standing and walking at a crosswalk and moving or carrying cones or signage. Requires flexibility in work locations based on the needs of the police department.

• This position is assigned the status of non-emergency essential for the purpose of work assigned before, during, or after a disaster-related event.
