Community Engagement Assistant

The City of Peoria seeks to hire a Community Engagement Assistant in the Neighborhood and Human Services Department to assist with the organization, planning, and implementation of a variety of activities, at various events, while supervising Community Engagement Aide and Community Engagement Specialist positions, as assigned. The Community Engagement Assistant position may exercise supervision over an assigned program or event. This position assists the Community Engagement Liaison and/or Community Engagement Coordinator positions in executing planned events, programs, or activities. These events, programs, and activities could be on night and weekends.

The hiring rate for this position is 19.37 an hour.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• The ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing, and orally.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements:
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Must complete all required City training courses within 6 months of hire
• A valid AZ Driver's License is required
