Community Center Assistant

The City of Peoria seeks to hire a Community Center Assistant in the Neighborhood and Human Services Department to lead activities within the Active Adult Program. Activities include, but are not limited to special events, enrichment classes, and outings within the community. In addition to assisting with the Active Adult Program, ideal candidates will also possess general computer skills, and will be able to assist with administrative tasks in a multi-generational community center.

The hiring rate for this position is $17.74.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• The ability to lead activities with active adults (seniors 50 ).
• A valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire.
• The ability to safely drive 15-passenger vans for recreational outings.
• The ability to assist with handling customer's concerns, while out in the community.
• The ability to always maintain safety, with a predominantly senior population.
• General computer skills.
