GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The purpose of the position is to coordinate the efficient use of manpower and resources in maintenance and repair of the City's wastewater collection gravity and force main systems, storm sewer system, water distribution system, and/or irrigation systems. Employees in this classification coordinate work or crews, assist in training new personnel, and participate in all facets of work performed. Performs related work as required.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE STATEMENT
Every City employee has emergency response responsibilities, though not every position will require routine assignments during an emergency event. All employees may be subject to recall around the clock for emergency response operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the normal work location, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official job description. Assignments in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature, with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically and operationally challenging conditions.

Physical Ability: Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds. Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate depths. Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination. Some tasks require oral communications ability.
Environmental Factors: Tasks may risk exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dust, odors, wetness, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, bright/dim light, traffic hazards, and/or toxic/poisonous agents.
