EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
The Shady Oak Beach Concession Lead manages the daily operations of the Shady Oak Beach Concession Stand and overseeing concession staff. This position is required to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Concessions Lead will need to manage multiple activities simultaneously and interpret operating policies and administration duties in a capacity that requires independent judgment. Leads must be effective at handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Ideal Concession Leads should possess strong leadership qualities with supervision and mentoring staff. Concession Leads should maintain a positive collaborative work environment between staff and management.Position Essentials: Performs various activities, including but not limited to opening and closing the concessions stand and following processes, maintaining cash drawers and balances, and following food safety guidelines.Takes concession orders; prepares, stores, and serves food under established state health regulations.Maintain cleanliness and a hazard-free environment; perform various custodial duties such as sweeping, picking up trash, and sanitizing.General knowledge of beach operations and emergency action procedures. Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and assist in emergency response.Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.Requires attentiveness, outstanding customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to be proactive and exceed patron expectations. Communicates with and maintains effective relationships with the patrons and other staff.Understand, follow and enforce all beach facility rules. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive public image by immediately addressing questions and concerns from staff, patrons, participants, and parents. Contact and ask for assistance from the coordinator or manager when necessary.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Moderately physically demanding work, typically involving a combination of occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Occasionally lifts and/or move items weighing up to 30 lbs or heavier items (300 lbs) with assistance.
