JOB Safety Security Sensitivity designation is dependent upon position.NOTE: This is a combined posting for multiple positions within the Little Rock Parks and Recreation for the Summer Playground Program and Therapeutic Recreation. Positions will remain open until filled or until a sufficient pool of candidates is created to meet current staffing needs.JOB OBJECTIVE: To provide supervision, instruction, counseling, and coaching to participants in activities at community centers and/or the assigned schools in the Little Rock School District. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Seasonal Activity Aide: ($12.00 per hour) Performs the duties listed above.Art Instructor: ($13.70 per hour) To oversee the overall day-to-day operations for arts and craft for the Parks and Recreation department. To organize, supervise, and instruct in daily activities. Playground Aides: ($13.00 per hour) Monitors athletic and other recreational activities and programs for youth and/or adult participants; issues equipment and supplies to participants and/or groups renting the facility; ensures program participants follow the safety guidelines for each location.Playground Supervisors: ($14.00 per hour) Performs the duties listed above; supervises playground program activities and employees, and transports youth participants to sites away from center (Southwest location only).Playground Director: ($16.50 per hour) Performs the duties listed above for both positions; supervises playground program activities and employees, and transports youth participants to sites away from center (Southwest location only).
