The Information Technology Division is actively seeking a Dev Sec Ops Engineer - Information Technology.

The DevSecOps Engineer reports to the Applications Development Project Manager and is responsible for providing DevSecOps support and assisting with the success of operations and improvement of automated solutions. This individual must work in a collaborative environment with various teams within the organization (i.e. Infrastructure, Security, Development). The primary function of this role will be to assist with administering GitHub.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Knowledge of the risks of open-source software components within applications.
- Knowledge of how to conduct a risk/benefit analysis to determine the level of security needed for a particular software solution.
- Familiarity with GitHub, GitHub’s products, and GitHub CoPilot.
- Ability to implement and manage core features, such as repository management, commits, branches, and merging.
- Ability to write, build, and deploy scripts.
- Ability to search & organize code repository history.
- Ability to leverage GitHub Actions and create custom Actions to publish to GitHub Packages.
- Ability to manage sensitive data and security policies within GitHub.
- Strong communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical customers.
- Ability to recognize and report issues and challenges before they impact the operations.
Position Requirements:
- Four years of education and/or experience in Development Security Operations.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- One year of Automation of build-test-deploy within the application life cycle.
Preferred Skills:
- Development experience, demonstrating increasing scope and responsibilities preferred.
- Experience with GitHub Source Control.
- Experience with C#, SQL/Oracle.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong passion and thirst to keep up with new industry trends and standards.
- Display a high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level.
