This is part-time (typically 15 - 25 hours/week) security and customer service work of routine difficulty in patrolling and safeguarding multiple offices and/or assigned areas and providing customer service and information to the public. An employee in this class is responsible for patrolling office buildings and grounds in various locations (typically near City Hall at 101 NE 3rd Ave. Fort Lauderdale, FL in downtown Fort Lauderdale) to guard and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Possible work shifts (typically 4 or more hours) are on various days Monday – Friday at varying times between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Please note: Shift days and times may vary from week to week. All work shifts are subject to change based on any changing needs for this part-time position. NOTE: The duties of this position will include all of those duties set forth in the official job description.This position will remain open until a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.The City offers a wide variety of benefits to employees.
