SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The position involves general office and secretarial duties for the Director of Land Use and Development, Planning Commission, Planning Committee, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Code Enforcement.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Plan and perform office duties as assigned
• Coordinate and manage office functions and assist the Director with technical clerical and administrative duties
• Prepare and type a variety of correspondence, memos, reports, and other materials for the Planning Commission, Planning Committee, Zoning Board of Appeals, Code Enforcement, and provide primary back up for Land Use Clerk I
• Schedule inspections for department inspectors
• Maintains departmental files related to commercial and subdivision development, plan review and applicable ordinances, resolutions, and agreement

BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
• 2-4 years experience in an office setting working in zoning, planning, building, engineering, or related field with preference given for related experience in municipal government
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or relevant experience will be considered
