City of Evansville is Hiring a Guest service attendant Near Evansville, IN
MESKER PARK ZOO - DUTIES : Admissions : operates computerized point-of-sale, handling revenue for ticketing and membership sales, collecting data, processing transactions, answers phones.
Gift Shop : staffs the gift shop including sales, stocking, straightening, cleaning and maintaining the overall appearance.
Attractions & Guest Experience : staffs the Paddleboat rentals, Carousel rides, Giraffe feedings, Budgie Aviary & feedings, Penguin feedings, Contact Zoo, and Tram tours.
Birthday Host : serves as host for birthday parties including set up, tear down and a tour and conducts animal encounters.
Facility Rentals & Special Events : assists with set up and tear down. Janitorial : general cleaning and seeing that the parks maintains an overall welcoming appearance, free of trash & litter.
QUALIFICATIONS : Requires good communication skills and must be friendly, neat in appearance and able to deal directly with the public in a positive manner.
Must be able to work outside in the heat and other adverse weather conditions and be able to lift 40 pounds. Computer and retail experience is a plus.
Must have a flexible work schedule and be willing to work year round. May require assisting with training of new employees and supervising volunteers on occasion.
