The Summer Camp Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the children’s summer camp program provided through the Englewood Recreation Division.
Responsible for planning, organizing and implementing a safe, creative schedule of events and trips for children 5-13 years of age. Included in this schedule is outside play, gym games, arts and crafts, science projects, special events, swimming and incentive behavior programs. Responsible for staff supervision and training. Works with staff to build morale and create a fun, exciting environment. Accountable for adhering to human services licensing requirements. This individual must be energetic and able to work with and lead children. Must be able to communicate effectively with parents, staff and children.
Candidates must pass a background check and submit 3 letters of reference verifying experience working with children. Current CPR and First Aid Certification is required but may be obtained after start date. To meet Human Service requirements, you must possess one of the following:
This position is required to drive a City motor vehicle / van to various City facilities and fieldtrips. Must possess a valid Driver License or have the ability to obtain upon hire and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Requires current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Can be required within 30 Days of employment
