The Senior Network Engineer will manage the Network team to conduct technical tasks, network monitoring and control, technical support including troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues for all systems in the network. In this role, the Engineer will configure and install networking hardware/software replacements and upgrades minimize downtime, mentor network administrators and other reporting as required. Additionally, the Senior Network Engineer will work with other team engineers to develop programmatic actions and minimize security risks.
COMPETENCIES:
KEY FUNCTIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Information Management, or Cyber Security.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in computer system or network engineering.
3 years’ experience installing and configuring CISCO Switches (i.e., Series 2900, 3700, 3800, 3900, 4500, 6500. Catalyst 9000 Series Preferred).
3 years’ experience in installing and configuring CISCO routers (i.e., ASR 1000 and ISR 4000 series).
3 years’ experience installing and configuring CISCO firewalls (i.e., ASA 5500 Series).
Prior experience with modern data center technologies, such as Cisco VPC, Cisco VDC, and VRF Lite.
Must have experience with Cisco routers, Catalysts switches and Call Manager.
Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Word.
Special Certifications and License
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Cisco Certified Network Professional.
Microsoft dynamics 365.

Responsible for use of equipment/property such as office equipment,supplies,etc.,whichareusedinoffice; use of City vehicle.
