The City of Beaverton Public Works Department/Transportation Engineering is seeking an Engineering Trainee to assist with data collection, data analysis and a variety of other tasks. This position is a great opportunity for students who are seeking experience in the field of Civil/Transportation Engineering.
 
This is a non-exempt seasonal position, open to college students working during school holidays or breaks. There is one vacancy.
 
The schedule will be 40 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with some flexibility via arrangement with the supervisor.

• Install and retrieve traffic data collectors throughout the City.
• Download traffic data and create reports.
• Other data collection responsibilities and field measurements.
• Prepare reports and manage data using Microsoft Office programs.
• Update transportation drawings and data using Auto CAD and ArcGIS Pro.

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be a civil engineering or construction management student at an accredited college or university.
• Must be at least 18 years old at time of hire.
• Valid drivers license and the ability to meet the city’s driving standards.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-hire drug screen.
