GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Library Director, performs highly responsible administrative and professional work in assisting the Library Director in the direction of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library System.

Work involves assisting in nf allordinatioo library services and policies in order to maintain optimum efficiency of manpower and materials, taking care of daily operations and annual budget planning.

Administrative direction is exercised over division heads. Performs other work as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Graduate degree from an accredited school of library science, and four years of responsible library experie-level a high professional library position, and three years of supervisory experience.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS

SELECTIVE CERTIFICATION

Library Promotional Only. Experience as a branch manager or overseeing daily operations of multiple branches required. Experience with library construction or renovation projects preferred.
