SALARY RANGE: $77,191.00 - $123,343.00 ANNUALLY

ELIGIBILITY: Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: Eligible candidates under final consideration for appointment to this position identified as positions of trust will be required to authorize the release of and successfully complete a Fingerprint check.

PROBATION: All persons, including current City employees, selected from this position will be on probation for 6 months.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

An Energy Program Manager II develops and manages energy generations facilities for Baltimore City. Work of this class involves assigning and reviewing the work of employees engaged in the production of energy facilities for the city.

Incumbents receive moderate supervision from an administrative superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion.

SELECTION PROCESS

The training and experience of each candidate will be evaluated for appropriateness and quantity. It is essential, therefore, that you give complete and accurate information on your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:

EDUCATION: Have a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, economics, public policy, business administration, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

AND

EXPERIENCE: Have six years of experience developing and managing the implementation of projects in a related field, Including one year with responsibility for training, assigning and reviewing the work of project engineers.rs.

OR

NOTES (EQUIVALENCIES): Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. A master's degree in environmental science, engineering, economics, public policy, business administration, finance, or a related field may be substituted for two years of the experience requirement.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES: Have a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license or an equivalent out-of-state driver's license and eligible to obtain a Baltimore City driver's permit.

KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

* Knowledge of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical design specifications.

* Knowledge of renewable energy technologies.

* Knowledge of energy production and storage systems.

* Knowledge of financial modeling and economic performance assessment.

* Ability to conduct assessment of proposal and opportunities.

* Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of project management.

* Knowledge of various funding sources and restrictions.

* Ability to schedule and budget complex capital projects.

* Ability to develop and enforce work statements.

* Ability to collect, organize and analyze data.

* Ability to present ideas, concepts and City policy to State and Federal officials persuasively and effectively.

* Ability to understand the relationships and interactions between Federal, State and local governments and maintain effective working relationships with government officials.

* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

* Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives.

EXAMINATION PROCESS
