City Foods, Inc./Bea's Best Corned Beef is Hiring a Food Quality Manager Job Description Near Chicago, IL

Food quality manager provides oversight to Food Safety and Quality Assurance personnel. Developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products and/or development processes.

· Works to develop and coach Quality Assurance staff through proper coaching, training and counseling to ensure uniform interpretation and application of standards and procedures.

· Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.

· Leads cross-functional project teams and/or sub-teams that develop and implement new QA programs and procedure improvements.

· Ability to apply sound technical and business principles and practices to project and change management processes.

· Provides direction and subject matter expertise on various QA issues to assist internal and external parties with matter of compliance or audit inquiries.

· Develops, implements, manages and tracks effectiveness of an integrated program, including systems, standards, procedures, measures and tools to assure that food safety, quality, sanitation and regulatory requirements are met for food products and operations.

· Develops and delivers effective communications that provide partners at all levels with appropriate awareness and knowledge of quality assurance standards, program updates and process changes.

· Lead Food Safety, HACCP, EV, and HALAL programs including audits.

· Interact regularly with engineering, manufacturing and service functions to establish and define quality assurance standards for the site including manufacturing, sanitation, pest control, and disposition of ingredients or finished products.

· Stays up to date and builds expertise in food safety best practices, public health regulations and industry best practices.

· Establish monitors and maintain a quality assurance and quality control system.

· Conduct statistical analyses of food safety and quality data to assess compliance with related programs and determine where improvement is needed.

· Manages potentially serious product incidents through product crisis. management process.

· Analyzes quality metrics, customer feedback and workgroup input.

· Recommends and oversees content updates to department or company resource manuals, standards manuals, training programs, and operational excellence tools.

· Understanding of HARPC and Quality Management System

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Interfaces and influences cross-functional teams including remote members to deliver results within demanding timelines.

· Three to five years of experience in a related field required with supervisory experience a plus.

· Prolonged periods of sitting and standing

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
