ACCOUNTING CLERK City Electric Service, Inc. - Zanesville, OH

City Electric Service, Inc. is an Electrical Contractor serving Central and Southeastern Ohio, providing services for Commercial and Institution Construction projects. City Electric Service, Inc. currently seeks an Accounting Clerk to assist the Accounting Manager with all financial operations of their business. This candidate would be involved with the day to day financial responsibilities pertaining to Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. This is a great opportunity with a business in a growing industry.

Responsibilities would include:

• Assist Accounting manager in preparing weekly payroll.
• Assist with new employee onboarding.
• Voucher and enter vender invoices for accounts payable, prepare and monitor purchase orders.
• Prepare weekly cash disbursements as directed by the Accounting Manager.
• Voucher and enter invoices to customer, periodically review accounts receivable.
• Assist Accounting Manager prepare for annual financial review and federal tax preparation with independent external accountants.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-3 years accounting experience (construction related field required)
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite
• Must be able to focus on details, prioritize, meet deadlines and assume initiative
• Previous experience with job costing
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors and management
• Must be a hands-on, self-motivated individual
• Associates degree in Accounting
