Construction Corp. is seeking to bring on an Accounts Payable Associate to work as part of the accounting team and will oversee Accounts Payable processing.

This is an entry- to mid-level role where accounts payable and/or construction accounting experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to take on the responsibility of the accounts payable and cash disbursement cycles.

Primary Responsibilities

• Posting of invoices into accounting system;
• Managing the routing and approval of purchase orders and invoice support 
• Review invoices for sales tax due and/or sales tax exemptions;
• Process invoices for payment;
• Generate, send and monitor lien waivers;
• Strong adherence to internal controls related to accounts payable and cash disbursement cycles;
• Maintaining vendor information within accounting database;
• Process 1099s;
• Maintain W9 information of vendors;
• Set up and breakdown of job sites administration (internet, phones, trailers);
• Maintain subcontractor insurance compliance;
• Act as phone reception for accounting department and main phone reception when receptionist is out;
• Review and process subcontractor change orders;
• Assist with other accounting department tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Construction accounting and/or accounts payable experience preferred;
• Strong communication skills (written and oral) and team player;

• Strong organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments;

• Highly detail oriented;
• High integrity professional;

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet various deadlines;

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or another related field preferred;
• Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software preferred;
