SUMMARY: This position will play a key role in developing and executing communication strategies that alignwith CMHA’s goals and enhance the perception and its reputation by establishing and maintaining an effectiveexternal and internal communications plan. Additionally, the position will manage any media crises that have thepotential to adversely impact the agency's public perception.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities, duties and/or skills required.• Align communication strategies with CMHA’s objectives and priorities.• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic communication plans.• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify communication opportunities and challenges.• Write and edit a variety of communication materials, including press releases, articles, blog posts, and socialmedia content.• Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.• Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communication.• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts.• Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other materials to promote organizational initiatives.• Monitor CMHA social media coverage (google, facebook, etc..) and respond to media inquiries in a timely andprofessional manner.• Plan and execute communication-related events, such as press conferences, product launches, and communityoutreach programs.• Monitor and manage CMHA’s digital presence, including website content, social media platforms, and emailcampaigns.• Develop and maintain a crisis communication plan.• Serve as an authorized spokesperson, as delegated by the Chief Executive Officer, in moments of crisis.Effectively handle communication tasks, including on-screen media interviews, to safeguard and uphold thereputation of CMHA.• Perform additional duties as assigned.
