DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To ensure that all operation of electrical rig components is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the manufacturers' specifications
• To carry out unscheduled repairs at the rig site and camp
• To liaise with the Rig Manager, Driller and Mechanic to schedule major overhauls of rig equipment
• To ensure the availability of adequate spare parts for electrical equipment through the inventory system, both for routine maintenance and to cover unscheduled maintenance or replacements

REQUIREMENTS:

• HS diploma or GED
• Journeyman card
• Preferably 5 years electrician experience in the drilling industry. Entry level will be considered.
• Should possess current 1st Aid, CPR, or be willing to go through the training once employed.
• Ability to read, write and speak English to be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Possess hazard awareness necessary to operate safely within the drilling environment.
• Able to work in high places for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb tall flights of stairs, work out of a riding harness and lift 50 lbs.
• MUST pass urinary drug screening.
