The Christian County Resource Management Department is accepting applications for Development Service Coordination who is over all permitting and code compliance in the Planning and Development Department. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to: communicates Land Use Regulation requirements to the public; coordinates the acceptance of permit applications, investigates nuisance complaints and establishes and maintains a positive rapport with the public. Advises the general public in matters relating to land use, development requirements and status of submitted projects.

Education / Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Two years clerical experience involving extensive public contact, preferably in a local government or related setting required
• License or Certificate: Possession of or the ability to acquire notary public seal within six months.

The ideal candidate must be professional, courteous, have proficient computer skills, and strong communication skills both orally and written. Ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of zoning regulations, county government and have the ability to identify geographic site locations. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug test.
