JOB TITLE: (1099) Alcohol and Drug Counselor

(also known as Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC), or Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LGADC), or Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol & Drug (CAC-AD), or Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol & Drug (CSC-AD), or Alcohol & Drug Trainee (ADT), or Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C), or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW), or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (CRNP-PMH), Registered Nurse Psychotherapist (APRN-PMH), or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS-PMH), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist, or Registered Psychology Associate, or A student intern in one of the disciplines)

PROGRAM: Choices Integrated Healthcare

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Exempt

SUPERVISED BY: Clinical Supervisor / Program Director / Medical Director

COMPENSATION: $40,000.00 per year to $65,000.00 per year payable biweekly commensurate on experience, credentials, and completion of assigned duties.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM

ANTICIPATED TRAVEL: 0% of the time. There is no additional compensation for travel.

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct IOP groups Monday - Thursday afternoons
  • Conduct mental health focused individual sessions after group

LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess at least an associate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or health related field (Interns and students pursuing such degrees may provide services under this scope through contract with the higher learning institution only)
  • 1-year experience in case management, mental health counseling or substance use disorder related counseling

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

Must be licensed, certified or approved to render services Maryland in one of the following disciplines:

  • Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC), or
  • Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or
  • Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC), or
  • Licensed Graduate Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LGADC), or
  • Certified Associate Counselor – Alcohol & Drug (CAC-AD), or
  • Certified Supervised Counselor – Alcohol & Drug (CSC-AD), or
  • Alcohol & Drug Trainee (ADT), or
  • Licensed Certified Social Worker – Clinical (LCSW-C), or
  • Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW), or
  • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or
  • Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW), or
  • Registered Nurse Psychotherapist (APRN-PMH / RN-PMH), or
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS-PMH), or
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Psychiatric Mental Health (CRNP-PMH), or
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or
  • Licensed Psychologist, or
  • Registered Psychology Associate, or
  • A student intern in one of the disciplines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and regularly drives a motor vehicle.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office, in client’s homes or in the community; Work exposes incumbent to contagious or infectious diseases; Work may expose incumbent to dangerous and volatile situations; which could result in bodily injury.
