We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Bissinger's Store at Plaza Frontenac!

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional customer service. This is a leadership role that requires strong retail management skills, upselling, and the ability to drive sales and achieve targets.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Store Manager in managing all aspects of store operations
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues
• Train and develop store associates on product knowledge, sales techniques (upselling), and customer service
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock management
• Implement visual merchandising standards to maximize sales potential
• Assist in creating and executing strategies to meet sales targets and increase profitability
• Handle cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to recruit, train, and evaluate store staff
• Assist in scheduling and managing employee shift

Skills:

• Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving business growth
• Experience in retail management, including shift management responsibilities
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Knowledge of training to enhance employee performance

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail management role
• Must be available to work weekends (No late nights!)
• Must be able to stand for the length of your shift
• Must be a people person and willing to talk to customers
• Must have good attendance & show up on time
• Must LOVE Chocolate (ok...not a requirement, but its a bonus)

• Store Hours: Mon-Fri 10-6pm Saturday 10-6pm Sunday Noon-5pm

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
