Job Title: Engineering Manager
Department: Engineering
Reports To: Vice President of Engineering
SUMMARY:
The Engineering Manager coordinates and manages engineering staff while supervising daily engineering functions. Must apply knowledge of engineering principles to planning objectives, quality assurance, customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Plan direct and prioritize the work required to design and deliver turnkey, retrofit and automation systems.
TRAVEL:
20% travel is anticipated. Routine travel to various domestic customer and distributor locations will be required. A valid driver’s license and passport are required for this position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
· 5 years of management experience
· 5 years of experience with detailed knowledge of manufacturing / service related business and/or customer support processes
· Strong 3D CAD modeling ability and experience using Solidworks
· Experience using statistical analysis techniques, tools and methodology
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong supervisory and leadership skills
· Ability to adapt and succeed in a changing environment
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
