ChildSavers is Hiring a (PT/FT) CACFP Program Specialist Near Richmond, VA
Our Child Development Services (CDS) Department is seeking a driven, energetic professional to fill the role of Program Specialist. Please note: This position is currently a part-time position with the goal of transitioning to full-time within the next fiscal year. This role involves providing technical assistance, training, and training coordination for family child care providers and center staff. The position has combined administrative and direct service responsibilities and operates under the general direction and supervision of the CACFP Supervisor.
*This position will require regular travel during the daytime hours and occasional evening & weekend hours each month throughout the Central region of Virginia.*
Skills & Requirements
(Minimum) High School Diploma
(Preferred) Appropriate degree (i.e., child development, social work, or other human services field) from an accredited school, and/or at least 3 years’ professional experience providing direct services to children and their families, or any equivalent combination of related training and experience
Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work effectively with a diverse client population
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required
Experience documenting service delivery, overseeing and monitoring meal services for selected child care programs, & demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance required
Knowledge surrounding early childhood and/or nutrition is preferred
Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license and auto insurance with an insurable driving record
Salary Range
$20 - $25 / per hour
