ChildSavers is Hiring a School-Based Services Program Supervisor Near Hopewell, VA

ChildSavers is seeking a highly motivated, energetic professional to serve as our newest School-Based Services (SBS) Program Supervisor. The SBS Program Supervisor has clinical leadership responsibilities in support of (and as directed by) the clinical leadership team, including the provision of clinical supervision and training. The incumbent must be passionate in caring for our community’s most vulnerable children and continually improving the system which supports their healing and growth. The SBS Program Supervisor will be a vital support for both their own clients, as well as the clinical staff within the program. The SBS Program Supervisor will be proactive and experienced in the delivery of quality therapy services known to be effective with children. The incumbent will be solution-focused and elevate the quality of care of all program services.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Provide clinical assistance to direct care staff in delivery of psychotherapeutic clinical care, as well as case management
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of individual, family, and group treatment interventions (as applicable).
  • Maintain compliance with all funding source regulations, rules, and documentation requirements to ensure timely approval of service
  • Coordinate and maintain referrals and conduct intake assessments, assigning diagnoses as needed to maintain a full caseload and to assist program based on level of need
  • May assist with the management of crisis coordination and the corresponding clinical support team, to include the potential for 24/7 emergency availability and response. Will provide case consultation and clinical oversight as needed.
  • Support as needed in coordinating individual and group supervision and maintaining ongoing staff support to ensure optimal clinical care services for clients. Will also provide leadership supporting the recruitment and retention of a strong clinical team.
  • Assist with evaluation of community, client, and milieu needs, along with development and implementation of appropriate, evidenced-based programming (i.e. specialized training or group sessions, collaborations, etc.)
  • Maintain certifications in behavior management training and CPR / First Aid and be capable of performing these duties. Maintain all applicable credentialing through continuing education and other requirements outlined in code.
  • Provide regular clinical supervision towards licensure for assigned supervisees following the current laws and regulations of the Board of Health Professions. Supervision will include: assessing counseling skills, reviewing a representative sample of treatment plans that were developed by the supervisee, monitoring assessments, reviewing case records and statistics, monitoring family interventions, monitoring case management and crisis intervention skills, and management of the referral and discharge processes. Documentation must be maintained regarding frequency and content of supervision.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Completion of Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or licensure-track related human services field with at least three years post-licensure experience, preferably working with children from a trauma-informed care perspective
  • Must be licensed by the Board of Health Professions to practice in VA (i.e., LCSW, LPC or LMFT) and be able to provide supervision towards licensure under their rules, regulations, and laws with a minimum of one year's professional experience having provided supervision to clinicians (or commensurate experience)
  • Should have experience surrounding the development and implementation of clinical training
  • Ability to provide supervision and training towards one or more specialized certifications highly desirable
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or completion within time frame provided by immediate supervisor
Salary
$60,000-$70,000 / annually
