The Family Resource Centers Senior Director oversees the collaborative leadership, development, budget and operations of family resource centers to facilitate the achievement of program outcomes. Overall, the Family Resource Centers Senior Director contributes to the CHS high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position CHS as the leader in delivering proactive community-based strategies, behavioral health, case management, and early childhood solutions for children and families.

Primary Job Functions

1. Oversee the collaborative leadership, development, budget, and operations of Family Resource Centers (FRC) and support services.

  • Partner with stakeholders in the development, implementation, and expansion of (FRC) programs for designated neighborhoods.
  • Partner with FRC Directors to ensure service delivery compliance and consistency.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with advisory boards, community leaders and community partners.
  • Develop and implement programs and policies that support the collective vision of CHS.
  • Design structures, systems and policies that position CHS as the provider of choice across the state.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve CPS efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with directors, advisory boards and community leadership to ensure consistency in service delivery with attention to inclusive practices and integration of component areas.
  • Liaise with partner non-profits, faith-based organizations, universities and businesses to support the full engagement in partner-driven activities at all CHS FRCs in the community.
  • Promote FRC model fidelity while adapting programs to local policies and needs.
  • Oversee budget development and monitor fiscal performance.
  • Identify grants and funding sources; partner with Grants Team to prepare federal, state, and community grant applications, as needed.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to FRC core staff, local community and core partners onsite.
  • Assist FRC and advisory board with accomplishing strategic objectives.
  • Work with FRC teams, local community, and core partners onsite.
  • Oversee reporting and compliance with Leon County Children’s Services Council, Family Resource Center Network, Council on Accreditation (COA), licensing, contracts, Quality Assurance and outcome standards and requirements.
  • Act as primary liaison with the contracted funder to build stakeholder relationships and work with contract administrative matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement and local community awareness and engagement.

2. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard TS, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

  • Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
  • Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results.
  • Coach, support and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
  • Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
  • Comply and confirm compliance with CHS code of conduct, policies, practices and other legal obligations.
  • Implementing policies and practices designed to prevent, recognize and respond to work-related stress.
  • Participate in succession planning to build the bench strength necessary for future talent needs.
  • Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
  • Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
  • Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.

Job Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in a Human Services, Education, or Social Work related field from an accredited university, required.
  • Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle, required.

Experience:

  • Five years of post-graduate experience in a Human Services related area, required.
  • Two years of management/supervisory experience, required.
  • Experience with community organizing or a place-based strategy preferred.
  • Experience in grant writing, preferred.
  • Local connections with the School Board and/or school administrators, preferred.
  • Budgetary and fiscal management experience, preferred.
