Job Description Oversee systems and processes for accounts payable department including identifying opportunities for improvements and issue resolution. Also, manage the daily operations of the accounts payable staff to ensure timely, accurate and complete work in accordance with policies and procedures.
Experience
5-7 years of experience with process improvement and progressive administrative/supervisory and business experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
Preferred Qualifications
5 years of experience in accounts payable department responsible for non-compensation expenses
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
Certification Summary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning and other financial support systems, including accounts payable and purchasing modules
Demonstrated ability to utilize enterprise content management systems, including document imaging, optical character recognition data capture, electronic form processing, and data interface to accounts payable system
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
Ability to lead in a team environment, collaborating and initiating communication across the organization
Ability to train, mentor, and provide guidance to team members on routine job responsibilities. Proven ability to prioritize/complete tasks and manage multiple assignments/deadlines
Proven time management skills, including ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
Job Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the staff, including but not limited to: work assignments, task management, time tracking/management, and on-the-job training.
Assist in employee performance evaluations and hiring decisions.
Develop, revise, and assist with implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Oversee process systems and documentation.
Train staff on business systems.
Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvements, including software upgrades.
Monitor and resolve issues with daily business systems, including global healthcare exchange/electronic data interchange process and related interfaces.
Generate and review metrics and other reports; assist with action plans derived from metrics analysis.
Assist with year-end processing, tax identification number matching, and 1099 forms.
Respond timely to customers questions and requests and escalating matters, as appropriate, to manager or director.
